My first quest bit ^^ it took me awhile but I’m very happy with it, I’m going to see if I can put together a nice stop motion thing for the next piece, I really love stop motion
Pidge approached the Nook with a look of annoyance. He hardly even noticed the wynlings playing around him. How was he supposed to read Ms.Alma’s grocery list if it was suck to his giant stupid mitt? He probably forgotten something, and now he’d have to go back and get it and he’d have even less time to work. He gave a small sigh as he reworked his schedule. He could probably stand to lose a few hours of sleep...
His thoughts were interrupted by the slightly panicked expression on Alma’s face as she approached him. “Pidge, May I borrow you? I’m not sure if you saw my post on the quest board but it’s urgent.” Pidge was caught off guard; he was only ever used to a calm or angry Alma. “O-Of course, what happened?” He asked, shaken.
“One of the eggs in the hatchery has been stolen and I can’t seem to find Russel, can you please help? I can’t track for the life of me” she explained. Pidge was at a loss, the fact that she approached him of all people astounded him, he hardly left the house these days and hadn’t tracked anything other than income and bills in his life. Given, he seemed to be the closest Wyngro around, and this was a desperate situation. Still, to be trusted with something as important as a baby’s life was something he wouldn’t trust himself with. Despite this, he didn’t have the nerve nor the heart to do nothing, this was a life at stake, a life with a family and friends to grow up to see, if his inadequacy or cowardice caused them their whole future... “I’ll help” he stated quickly, gently placing the groceries on the ground to begin searching as soon as possible. “Where did they go?”
“The Auranna Woods, be careful Pidge” Alma warned, noticing his rising panic. “Getting yourself into a fuss won’t help the egg or you”
Pidge nodded, but he was only half listening as he figured how to do this. “May I borrow a blanket?” He asked, at the very least it would be good to have something to carry the egg in, other than that he should be fine.
Alma nodded and fetched him one. “Please hurry, come back before dark”
Pidge gave a small nod and turned on his hoof to run towards Auranna forest, his legs were propelled by the rising anxiety at what could be happening to the egg because of his slowness.
Alma gave a small sigh, concerned with the younger wyngro’s lack of calm with the situation. If worst should come to worst, hopefully someone else would see the quest board and be able to rescue both of them.
