From what I understand, a British artist submitted a piece of taxidermy for sale on Ebay or something, and was surprised when she started to receive fanmail from Russia. Russian activists had taken the dazed face and obsequious, hunched form of the brown fox as an icon of the movement for civil society in Russia.I was also fascinated by this funny-looking guy, morbid though it might seem, and decided to take it to paper...
