Description
I was heading downstairs when noticed something scoot behind a pair of shoes by the front door.Careful removal of the shoes revealed it to be an adult Scutigera coleoptrata.

Nice shot! In my experience, these guys are so fast and flighty that it's difficult to get a photo of them at all, let alone one this close and crisp.

and yes you're very correct. These are not the easiest of subjects to shoot.
While they aren't quite as fast as say the 6 spot Tiger Beetle, these are amongst the fastest ground stalking insects. If it were possible that they were at equal scale, these "Home'a'Pedes" could easily outrun a Cheetah.
