Here He is! The great Oropher, Thranduil's Daddy! <3. It's been a long time since I wanted to draw Oropher. I'm not totally satisfied, but this is a first drawing ^^ And We can see his majesty and his badass face with his scars !
Maybe I will made other drawings of him (with his son... ^^).

Je voulais déjà montrer la différence entre Thranduil et Oropher ce qui est compliqué sans visuel existant d'Oropher. Donc du coup Oropher s'est retrouvé avec des cicatrices pour le faire encore plus "guerrier" et costaud que son fils ^^.

Yes, badass fighter Oropher! It makes me still sad to think that Thranduil had to witness his death in the Battle of Dagorlad...I made myself all teary-eyed when I wrote about it in my fanfic. I guess that happens when one gets too emotionally involved with fictional characters
It's a great depiction you made! I am sure he taught his son all there is to know about fighting orcs!

The fanfic is an ongoing story I'm writing and there is one chapter that deals with the battle where Oropher died and I made myself real sad while writing. I felt so sorry for Thranduil having to witness his father die , but of course I've only got myself to blame: why do I write such heart wrenching stuff? But I can't help it and have to keep writing nonetheless
And just to say it again: I really enjoy your interpretations of the Mirkwood family!
