As every Skyrim player knows, the Mages Guild was dissolved and then replaced by the Synod and the College of Whispers, two organizations that are merely shadows of the guild they replaced. Giskard's Origin of the Mages Guild illustrates one possible way it might have happened.

Arzakh was crushed by it, wondering if she could have done something differently, knowing she couldn't, and both sad and angry that she couldn't keep her promise to Arch-Mage Traven.

This comic features Giskard's mod "Origin of the Mages Guild," which can be found here . The file contains all of his Oblivion mods. Please read all of the included documents, as some of the mods are not compatible with each other.
