Description One of Elysium 's favourite brushes in Photoshop. While doing an art battle with him, came to love the shape of the brush myself and decided to port it to my own favourite graphics program: The GIMP. I also added a couple of angle sensitive animated brushes to make it easier to use these brushes. Just drag the brush in the direction you want it to point and presto

Hope you find this usefull

Comments, suggestions, bug reports, stories of usage and the likes are all very, very welcome

Oh, I just used these on my latest image without realizing they were from a Group.. and submitted back in 2003 way before it became a group. o_O; Very nice, works well, if a bit awkward(there are a few pixels scattered around the edges of some sprites when you use the pencil tool to draw them).

You click 'Download to desktop' and it comes. Try again, DA is unstable sometimes.

I can't make the image hoses work. When i try to open them with the brush editor its says:"Couldn't load one brush in the pipe, giving up."

Is there some way to fix this?

BUt the static ones are still useful. A great set of brushes, and one i have been looking for for a while.

You have to unzip it. I think Winzip and Winrar can do that for you.

mmmmdeath [2003-09-20 01:52:49 +0000 UTC]

how do you convert them? ive been wondering for some time now...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

the-gimp In reply to mmmmdeath [2003-09-21 17:21:53 +0000 UTC]

It's actualy quite simple. You create a white canvas in Photoshop, paint some black brush strokes on it, using your brush of choice, export to BMP or save as PSD, import to The GIMP and cut out the individual brushes. You can then use these cut outs to create your brushes using the regular methods, like Define Brush - Define Pattern or as described in [link] . I haven't figured out an easier way to do this yet though. Hope it answers a couple of your questions

Cheers,

mmmmdeath In reply to BonsaiViking [2004-02-09 21:15:49 +0000 UTC]

I've tried the GIMP, in both linux and win, but it just doesn't seem to have the power that PS does. Oh, you know that I made that comment in September, right? Well, I have Photoshop now.

Are Gimp and Photoshop brushes interchangable?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

the-gimp In reply to Snugglebug [2003-09-07 13:17:18 +0000 UTC]

Nope, I'm afraid they're not. You can convert them though, which is not too difficult but takes some work
