Description

I was inspired by Shadows over Loathing, and having gone through it once now, I had these ideas swirling in my head for a while, and wanted to have fun putting it down onto paper. Specifically, I'm trying to stay loyal to the vibe of the franchise. So, the best way to do that was with actual, physical pen-and-paper. (Thought I got out a very stinky Sharpie for the ultra-dark bits, when I wanted to depict something as BLACKER THAN THE BLACKEST BLACK TIMES INFINITY! )

This is, effectively, a blend of fan art and fan fiction as told in graphic novel format.

Join Ivan RAMIREZ and Dexter Burns as they tie up loose ends left behind from the Loathing world, where the presence of Shadow is a force of nature and the monsters brought to existence from it are but a mere symptom of the core problem.

(I've also made a game to myself over how many times I can cram the word RAMIREZ and still have the dialogue make sense.)

The first few pages are a bit skimpy on puns and shenanigans because I've been very busy setting up the world and pushing the plot into motion.

Also, while the WHOLE STORY is not yet complete, the pages presented should be in their final (or final-ish) rendition. Meaning, unless you'd rather wait to binge the whole book when (or IF) it ever gets done, you may want to give more time. (Though, looking back over at Young Guardian, you can see if I can not promise completion; impulses be like that.)

And, personally, I tried to keep it subtle, but I really do like the VERY MILD touch of a dom/sub relationship forming. >:3 Trust me, this ain't Hero Team, so we won't get anything THAT hardcore.
