Yes, they do cost a lot. D: The body is bad enough, but then you have to purchase all the accessories as well. x-X But it's well worth it, I think. Even though most people will think you're crazy for spending so much on them. XD

Yeah, I can give you some decent estimates. They mostly run around $500 to $600. And it's very smart getting them with the faceup...which boosts up the price. If you don't, they come as a blank head, and you can either get a custom faceup from some artists online or do it yourself. (which is very difficult if you don't have the right equipment o-O.) Mostly shipping will be in there too... Which is expensive for dolls. I think it can go around $80. The one I got the shipping was free, since the site offers free shipping for anything above $300. I'm happy to hear that you would love to save up for one!

It is. Yeah, try that out! :3 It's about what I had to do for mine. XD Didn't get him till after a year. In most cases, no. They come naked. So you will need to buy them clothes. You can either save up for something nice for them or just buy them really cheap clothes until you can save up for better things. XD The only time the dolls really do come with clothes is when they're the LE's (Limited Edition). And those can run around $700-$1,00. X-X. There is one in California...it's a Volks store. But they're dolls are really pricey, and not all of them look so great. I wish they had some too...

Yeah I get it a lot too. With Yan I don't care, quite often unless it's someone that I know is into dolls I don't even bother correcting them since he looks female. But y'know what's sad? I have so many girly boys that people now tend to think Inari and Kà are boys. At least there's an excuse with Kà since she's a boy mold but Inari?!?!

People just need to learn to read the damn artist comments darnit!
