This one is really pretty. The focus is perfect. The only thing i can add is that when the subject is more than a detail, then the format should be larger. There should be some space around it, at least a blank frame.
If you are capturing a wider image, also try leaving more space on the side the character is looking at (if there is a character)

I'm trying to decide if i want a wu, a red, or a CP el for one of my characters .... do you know how big an el head is compared to a red? XD

You have really good choices there. XD I'm working on getting an El myself eventually, 'cause he's such a pretty thing. ^^
I'm not sure of the exact circumference of their heads...but I do know that an El head is bigger than a Red's. I have a somewhat good example of that. XD

In those they're wearing the exact same wig. But on a Red, the bangs are longer because of his smaller head. El's have big heads, and can easily fit into 9-10" wigs. ^^ That wig is acutally a little big on Red, but it stays on nicely with velcro.

If you don't want to spend so much money, I would go for either a Red or a Wu, since Elfdoll will give you free shipping for them. ^_^ Unfortunatey I don't...but I can get some photos of them both sometime next week, since my friend with the El will be visiting me. ^^ I got the wig off of ebay. The seller puts them up once in a while, so you might want to keep checking!

I really want to try to do faceups as well, actually... ^^ Just need the right equipment, and a blank head to practice with. ^^ The eyes do look really hard to do... D: I had a pain of the ass job at trying to get Roux's on. >.> And eyebrows are even more horrible to do. ~__~ You good with those?

eyebrows? uh, no. but my recommendation is get the outline done in pastels, THAN paint it, with a single bristled brush >,> doesnt look good in pencil.

I have tried them once, and oh god... XDD I hate eyebrows. Oooh, very good idea actually. o.o Though I am not overconfident about doing faceups at all yet. ^^ I'll wait till I get my blank D.I.M Angelo head...since soon after I get him, he'll be off for a better faceup. ^^ But I'll play around with him first. XD I need to go and pick up some better brushes soon too, for my tattooing commissions.
