Description Ayesha felt on the outskirts of the team whenever she was in the cave. She was the shortest (and probably frailest if she didn't have enhanced durability and invulnerability), she had the hardest time communicating, and she didn't grow up in the West like most of them. While Artemis tried to keep Miss Martian from burning her latest batch of cookies, Kid Flash and Robin play against the Cave's computer in a board game, and Aqualad and Superboy typically trained when the Atlantean was there. It didn't feel like there was a space for her to fit in. Superboy walked next to her, crossing his arms as they looked over at the others. She typically felt more comfortable talking with Superboy; he didn't have a lot of patience with her broken English but he didn't cut her off mid-sentence if she was going slow or not translating properly. They also seemed to connect more since neither were familiar with this domestic lifestyle.

Deciding to try and get closer, she tried to speak to Superboy in English. "They're nice, very rich." He didn't look very impressed at her attempt to start a conversation, barely giving her a glance while raising an eyebrow.

"I can speak Arabic, if you'd rather - " he offered but immediately shook her head.

"No! I learn. Better to know, than be..." Ayesha trailed off, trying to find the words before saying in Arabic, "it's better to learn than rely on Miss Martian. Her powers don't actually make me learn the language... it's just easier for all of you to deal with."

They stood in silence for awhile as they thought to themselves, trying to make the words translate to English in her head and in mumbled breaths. He was pensive, frowning into the empty air. "I could teach you," Superboy said in her native language, "give you lessons, so that you don't need to learn by yourself."

She looked up at her teammate, judging if he really meant the offer, before looking back at the others. "Yes, I like," she grinned, excited to start these lessons soon.

This was really fun to draw - first time doing Superboy but he was a blast! And Ayesha's smiling is really cute, especially since most of the drawings I have done of her are of her frowning. She's getting used to the team and molding in, I love it!!

This takes place probably within the first month or two of the team forming, everyone still trying to find their footing and whatnot, still in their original groups of the girls, the geniuses's and then these two awkward outcasts. I'd like for them to be good or best friends, we'll see how it goes!
