Fun fact: I think Lestat was my first cosplay, before I knew what cosplay was.

I was Halloween, and I must have been no older than 16, my mum had made me a frock coat and waist coat, and I went into the 'fright night' event with my friends who were also decked out in an Anne Rice fashion. There were a suprising number of asian tourists about that night, and I was really suprised when some asked for a photo with me. But I was bitten by the bug very quickly, and the Lestat in me blossomed, by the end of the night I had my arms around strangers posing for any and every camera that might vaguely be pointing in my direction. Best Halloween ever.

It was so good to return to this character and improve upon the orginal costume, although the base of the hat is the same, as is the pattern for the coat, but this time I altered it to make it more of the period.

Sadly, I do not have the right face shape for Lestat, and we didnt get many photos of this at Kitacon IV, where it debuted.
I PLAN TO CHANGE THIS and try some make up tricks and organise another photoshoot soooooon.
