Both. I used a tech-pen for the buildings and outlines, a brush for the rendering and fill, and razor blade to cut back into the black sections.

Can I just say that I love this something awful? Everything about this is so damn powerful, from how big the Bloodthirster is, from how small, but resolute, the Battle-Sister appears to me. I wrote something up for this and I hope you approve.
"She walked towards her doom with her head held high like a queen and her sword gripped tightly in her mailed fist.
The world was lost. But she did not give into despair. She and all of her sisters had done the Emperor’s Will despite this outcome. They had slain many heretics, but died. They had resisted the temptations of Chaos, but they died. They had refused safe haven among the fearful and downtrodden, and they died.
They died with pride, honor and the Emperor’s Wrath in their hearts.
Her sisters had perished free and true. And she would do the same.
"I shall stoke the Emperor’s Wrath within my heart," she whispered the ancient litany to herself. "With it I shall forge a great blade of faith and retribution with which I shall smite the heretic. I shall never waver in my duty and I shall never surrender to any foe. For I am the Emperor’s chosen warrior. I shall die with pride and honor, never knowing defeat or shame."
And so she marched ever onward, until she came upon the beastly daemon lord that had caused the death for this world. She did not care for its name, its purpose or its blood-curdling warcry for its false god.
She raised her sword one last time and charged forward, spending her life for the Emperor and mankind."
