She has a very insightful expression for a child so young, as well as a beautiful face 
I quite like the tree in the background, it adds a sort of mysterious and almost frightening quality to the picture. Makes me think a bit of Cormac McCarthy's "The Road," for some reason.

This time i used 50mm f;1,8 EF canon lens, no filters.
Just levels , dodge and burning with photoshop, and adding the black stripes

Vraiment bien vu ce portrait. Le cadrage est parfait et l'arbre à peine visible au fond renforce l'atmosphère un peu iréelle, étrange.

Ca faisait longtemps que je voulais bosser avec ce format, mais j'avais peur que justement, on me reproche qu'il fasse trop cinéma, et puis je me suis dit qu'après tout ce sont mes images, mon univers et que je n'ai pas a me soucier d'autre chose que me faire plaisir... et finalement, les réactions sont plutot encourageantes

Yes, the tree is nearly at the center of the picture, it could be considered like a mistake in the composition, but here, i've made that choice for leaving more place to the fog and give a weighty feeling.
