woha, this is so intense. Is this ment to get a certain responce or just for fun?
I once made a monolog about a girl that was trapped in a dark room by strangers that wanted to eat her. later it turned out she was a cow in a slaughter house. I only did it for fun,(Im a farmer),but I did get a lot of response from vegetarians and animals protecters,(even though I only did it for fun,I never sought any kinds of reactions that proves it's wrong in any way to eat other creatures).
Annyhow, the drawing is beautiful and so scary. Love you'r work.

I think it can be looked in a lot of ways so both sides of the fence may see a different message.

This piece was included in an article called "Suggestivism" as an example of apolitical art, what were your thoughts when you made this? I would love to interview you! Lol!

Hello Blackbird. Sorry I didn't get here much earlier. I came back this week from the Chicago Convention and a month ago I moved 1700 miles from my home and just been trying to figure out this new way of living (in Minnesota...I'm originally from Miami). So Simian Operation is an oil painting illustrating doctors at work on a chimp. I wanted the art to be raw and spontaneous without a ton of references to hinder the feeling of the moment. I was inspired by a piece of music.

Don't worry! I think it really captures the kind of intensity of music, the painting feels very emotional, (and dreadful and painful) and the brushstrokes show that. Amazing effect! I referenced it in response to the "Age of Discernment" article. Just an amazing piece!

Humans are the cancer of this world. Look at the nature. All the animals are living in peace, everything is ok. But the human destroys it. Just for progress and money. They donΒ΄t think about the consequences, they are just dumb. I hate the humas for that.

KaitlinDragon In reply to Artezz [2012-08-04 20:25:05 +0000 UTC]
Animals do not live in peace. They live a harsh life of hunger, disease and struggle for the most part in the wild.
And by referring to the human race as 'they', you imply that you are separate or exempt from 'the humans'.
We are not perfect, but as a species we are not mindless monsters blindly grabbing for riches without regard to consequence. Though deeply flawed, one of the key drives of humanity is to seek higher understanding and higher standards of living. There is nothing wrong with that. Have grave, terrible mistakes been made? Yes. Have intentional crimes against humanity by humanity been committed? Yes. But do we continue to reach out and reach up, to try and heal the wounds we have inflicted on our world? Yes.

Peace? Survival of the fittest - this is the law of the jungle... Human's are foolish and cruel, but it is our superior intelligence that makes this unacceptable...
