Description Spreading like an infection across the island
Tendrils of electrical emotion burst forth from
The Tome of Pain and it's pages of the Past,
Eviscerating the plagued land's already-corporeal visage.
Knowing what dangers these tendrils hold
Is all the bell-topped Jester needs to refrain
From snagging hold in order to examine them further.
Thaumaturgy courses throughout these extensions
Of the forbidden Tome. They are made up of
Arguments of loved ones, promises both tempered and broken,
And shattered dreams that emerge from the tendrils
Like shards of glass, mirroring the fractured psuedo-lives once lived.

Sir Lizard turns away to find his Ottergirl,
But finds his doppleganger, the Harlequin of Basilisks
Stuck in the tendrils' grasp.
Insanity takes hold of the Fool as he tries to pry her free,
Getting himself caught in the electric tentacles of the Past.
Soon, he realizes the stubbornness of the Harlequin.
She is not stuck. She holds the tendrils, nay, clings to them
As if her life depended upon it.

With a flick of his tail and a jingle-jangle,
The Jester brushes off the dangerous roots of pain
(His immunity stems from the Ward of Present tattooed into his flesh).
The Temptress; the serpentine jesteress, wants the electricity;
To her, it is like a drug.
"Oh what drama hath thou created now?" apathetically speaks the Lizard.
She imitates Miss Owl (that long-ago wretch) and belches up hateful things
Upon his feet.

Misanthropy again swells the Fool's heart
And he turns to find the Ottergirl,
Only to find her foot stuck on the tendril also.
She cries out for him, but cannot dislodge herself free.
"A conspiracy" replies the Jester to the sky.
Madness, which had seemed as insane as it can get,
Has just been fragmented even further into Chaos.
