Description Ohmaigawsh, artwork!

This was done with acrylic on marble, its not sealed so it has a distinctive difference in texture. As well, the eyes and some spots of fur were done in silver paint, they shine slightly in the light. I'll upload a picture or two of the shine if anyone wishes to see lol.
Someone randomly dropped off a bucket of scrap marble in my art class some time ago so I snagged a piece xD Might do more of these; I also took a piece of black and white marble and two pieces of sandy colored marble that fit to make a square.

OMG ITS TRADITIONAL Ive been doing traditional lately.

HOLY CRAP
WHY ARE YOU SUCH A GODDESS?!
<33333 I love this. You gotta teach me your fur skills, it's incredible how well you color and shade it! Looks absolutely gorgeous. I especially love how creative you were with the marble <3.

Marble work... sounds like fun.

Are you planning to seal it in the future or leave it as it is? Also, did you start with a base sketch on the stone? I'm curious. I've never seen something like this before... only feathers and bark.

It totally is :3
I really really like the effect of the polished marble against the almost matte acrylic, however for preservation I might seal it. I did start with a simple base sketch for the outline and the face (the only thing that really helped was the outline) but of course I erased what was visual still when finished xD
I'm really looking forward to doing more of these, perhaps a whole series of big cats

I probably won't be able to get close to doing something like that for a few years. Even when I'm in college, that kind of art class probably wouldn't be on my schedule, because of the area I want to go into. There will probably be somewhere I can get materials for it, though.

The texture difference is nice on the eye. It's kind of like having a car painted with a satin finish... sorta. I'm relieved you used a base sketch type thing; I feel a bit less left in the dust now. I like the idea of a big cat series on marble. It just sounds fun, and there aren't enough unique pieces of wild felines on here.
