Description Seeing it's a new year, and a fresh start, it's the perfect time for an improvement chart!
Do  you think I've made much progress over the years?   I feel I have a long way to go yet still.

Thank you for all those who have supported me
Onwards to 2015 and beyond!

There's definitely some improvement over the years, especially when it comes to digital colourations.
However, it's also visible that you hadn't that much time to practise and draw the last two years.
Your latest pictures aren't bad, but it seems that you're drawing portraits and halfbody pictures a little too often.
I'm sure you're improvement would even get much bigger if you'd try to use some more backgrounds and practise different angles/ fullbody drawings.
But never mind, I don't want to discourage you. In contrast, I hope that I can help you a little with my criticism.

Keep up this great work!
Oh, and I found it interesting that you're the same age as me.

Thank you for taking the time to write this Your constructive criticism has been very helpful, I agree with you, hopefully this year I will be doing a lot more drawing and try out some new stuff like backgrounds and group pictures.

No problem, dear.
It always bother me to see people with a lot of skills but nobody seems to find it necessary to write a comment or to leave some helpful criticism.
That's really a pity as there are so many artists on dA who wouldn't like to be treated like that either and who should understand this feeling best.
I see that it's always more time-consuming to write something than to simply fave a picture.
But then I'm often thinking of the phrase: "Treat people like you would like to be treated yourself."
But yes, I have to admit that I'm sometimes too lazy to write something, too.

Definately, theres usually a big difference compared to the amount of comments versus favourites, and this isnt just on Da but I noticed on popular videos like youtube as-well. E.g. 1m views but iwth only 200 comments

I think more people should give constructive critism, although it can be disheartening for some, it can really help them in the long run

Yes, I can only agree to that. Couldn't have said it better.
I think the main reason why people are writing so little comments is because they're too afraid or too shy to write in english.
And if this isn't the case it's mainly because the people are too lazy or don't want to take some time for writing something.
But frankly speaking, it also happens sometimes that you really don't know what to say about an artwork.
