What's "iconic" about Superman's suit is the symbol, the colors, the cape....Not the speedo's. They were always a dumb ass idea.
What's sad, is that it took DC 70+ years to figure that out.
Your pic shows nicely that the new suit is way more kick ass and adult feeling than the old one.

Yet he looks so much less gay w/o the red briefs. Hmmm. I have also both versions on my SL inventory. I've been trying to find the right hair too. Seems I search and search for it on the market place yet I never find it...
