Description
Another major species in my homegrown Dungeons & Dragons campaign, Blemmyes are a race subject to considerable sexual dimorphism.The acephalic males are creatures of passion and excesses, and most of them follow a brand of mysticism based on what other cultures may see as an unadulterated exploration of vices. They can eat your dreams and hopes and transform them into the magic petroleum known as phlog.
Female Blemmyes never grow old and always stay perfectly beautiful. Most of them are enslaved by the males and sold to Humans or Elves as concubines or entertainers.

Dude, I know that you got all good feedback but I just gotta give you this negative criticism. I found this when I searched female blemmyes but it was the only one I could find at the time, and I noticed right off the bat that you gave the male a chest face like it’s supposed to have while the female was basically human. This basically embodies the trope where developers decide that logically looking female versions of fantasy races would be offensive to the majority of the more easily aroused male audience and subsequently make all the women more humanlike and mainstream attractive. You basically gave them both those metal bead piercings on their eyebrows so you could say they were the same race and put in “and they’re sexy slaves who stay young and hot forever.” I’m just disappointed that instead of willing to explore something new you went with something incredibly basic. One the note on where you could have put her eyes; on her shoulders like it says female have on the wikipedia page, under her breast using them as eyebrows like the male while using a special bra to lift them up so she can see, or on top of the upper part of her boobs that are usually showing anyway. I’ve since found several real female examples so you don’t need to worry about it.

It started as an experiment on sexual dimorphism because I thought it offered some interesting roleplaying possibilities, but yes, you certainly have a point. Thank you for your comment.

Male Blemmyes has some girly hands. Though I must admit his stance and center of gravity feels a bit awkward. Though I like the design for the male and his greaves.

Very good and neat outlines! And I liked very much the work with textures in their outfits. I see you based your creation on old medieval stories (when it was believed to exist people "with heads below their shoulders") to do the masculine figure. Great job!!
