Description
This is my version of Robin that I created for my Batman Alternate Universe. In trying to get some ethnic diversity, (and also, why the hell not?) I made him have an American Dad and an Asian Mom.
I also took some liberties with his suit and tried to create a Robin costume that hearkens back to the original, but is just a little bit more cool.

You realize Damian had a MIDDLE EASTERN Mom in the actual comic? This isn't really an increase in diversity. Asians are much better represented in comics than Middle Eastern people.

Sure, I guess so. And yeah, I know all about Damian and Talia. It's just what I wanted to do, the stories are my take on the characters so I have fun with free reign.

The face on the left is well drawn. You've conveys Asian facial features without having to resort to higher levels of realism. Most Comic Book artist and cartoonist that portray Asian people fail to do that. The full bodied image on the right is not as well done. The face is much more abstract and it's more "sketchy" overall.
You gave Dick Grayson Damian's Robin mask which is why I mistook him for Damian. Damian's Robin Mask is the only one that has that unique shape and color. Dick Grayson's mask was basically just a standard black domino mask with white lenses like we see on a lot of other comic book characters.
The reason I harp on you and so many other artist about how Damian is portrayed is because he is my favorite Robin and I've searched far and wide on Deviantart and the internet at large and I can't find ANY good Fan Art of Damian. I've only found like 3 pictures that even get his mask right.

Really? I did not think it would be that hard to find pics of Damian. Hmmm... I understand where you are coming from though, I have wanted to find a good Flashclub on here, and there isn't one. I tried creating one but I don't have the time it would take to make it great. Flash art is good here...just not what I'm exactly looking for.
Yeah, I gave him Damian's mask because it is the coolest version! I was cherry picking for my outfit.
Thanks for your kind words about his up close portrait! I know he doesn't look very Asian on the right, but I wasn't really worrying about that, it was just to show his suit, I'd already done his face, so it was meant to be sketchy.
I feel bad for you about Damian. When I want something done, I draw it to amend the problem. Maybe you don't think you can do him justice?

I'm not an artist. In the time it would take me to become one the incarnation of Damian Wayne I want may not even be relevant anymore. I've thought about commissioning a picture of the Batfamily together the way I want them all to look but I often have trouble conveying how I want ONE character to look to an artist. And the expense would be astronomical.Β

I appreciate the effort but this isn't what I'm looking for. The anime style doesn't really capture Damian's stubborn cocky hardass personality. What I'm looking for is an image of Damian that portrays him like he appeared in the Pre-52 and New-52 continuities except with the complexion he's been given in the Rebirth Teen Titans comics. Also I'm not really into Super Sons. Thanks anyway.
