First off I apologise for the awfully boring corset this year. Due to a minor phneumothorax in early October, a 2 week wait to see a consultant and a weeks recovery (rest) period I basically lost all the time I usually spend designing, planning and beginning to make the Christmas corset. I was determined to get something out though and my best idea was to use printed cotton and do a simple sweetheart with a couple of fancy aspects.I used a busk with gold claps instead of just silver and gold eyelets to tie in with the gold outlines on the fabric. I also used metallic gold thread on the busk, boning chanels and back to add a bit more sparkle and shine to it. I decided on gold binding and ribbon because the off-white just didn't look right to me.

I think it's adorable! The fabric design is so cute. It looks fantastic overall. I think the gold binding really ties it all together.
