The 'blue' is a little to close to CRIP's 'Bankruptcy Blue' historically.
Otherwise I love a good observation car.

It is authentic, although not the only paint scheme that ever led the Century. More info here:Β www.facebook.com/URHSofNJ/post… .

Not sure about the Jade Green on that E-Unit, but otherwise, nice shot.

I would have thought it was an F-Type. How can you tell the difference?

Counting the number of axle journals. The F-Units will only have 2 per truck while the E-Units will have 3. Spring packs: F-Unit 1, E-Unit 2. There is a 3rd door located near the center of the carbody while an F-Unit will only have one at the rear and one at the rear edge of the cab. Also, the E-Unit's twin 12 cylinder 567 engines make for a much longer machine than the F-Unit's single 16 cylinder 567 engine.
F9 for comparison: The angle isn't that much different.

I'm not sure myself either, but that's not only the color it was restored to but a scheme that it was one of only three E8s to ever wear.Β
