I rode the DL&W MUs for 2 years in the late 1970s, and the church for which the station was named (?) stood on the north side of the tracks just west of the station. I'm not certain, but I think it might have been boarded up then, and was torn down a few years later. It was constructed of yellow brick, if my memory serves me correctly.

I've seen some non-authoritative sources suggest that it was named for the Second Presbyterian Church of Orange, which is a prominent red brick church that's still standing.
