Cuddle Soft/Ultra Cuddle is what I used for my earliest plushies. It gets the job done, but it does fray about 0.5" in a certain direction. The trick is to leave a 0.5-0.75" seam allowance and don't cut it after sewn. It's so squishy it won't make any noticeable difference. has extensive experience with this fabric, but minky is definitely the easiest and preferred.
