Description
Inspiration for this came from an observation that the styles of Spongebob and the Simpsons seem very similar, at least where the yelow skin, bulging eyeballs and overbites are concerned.
Then it occurred to me that both shows have an intelligent character who plays an instrument. (Octopi are the smartest of all invertebrates) And so was born this picture. Squidward doesn't seem to mind this yellow being, especially since she appreciates music and has a higher IQ than Spongebob. (Sorry, Bob).
My first ever Simpsons fanart. The style is a lot harder than it looks! Thank goodness for the circle template!

If Lisa (at Spongebob's house) and Squidward (at his house) battled with their respective musical instruments to each other (in the episode 'Noise Battle'), I'm sure Squidward wins! 👍

Probably the same way he feels about Patrick. In another drawing I did, Homer and Patrick were fighting over who got the last dounut, and Squidward was taking bets from Bart over who would win.

By the way, you're right: The drawing styles resemble each other - and now that I know the Simpsons better, I'm also afraid, some SB jokes are "lent" from the Simpsons' show.
