Teaser for "The Last Peak" (L'Ultima Vetta), second of the four stories from our upcoming novel, "The Last Dragons" (Gli Ultimi Draghi). I'll give more details when I post the cover!Plot outline: Can a mouse become a mage? Scresah, a young muscu with an arrogant and messy attitude thinks so. But when his little sister becomes very ill, everything he believes in is turned upside down. He's going to challenge dark places and mysterious creatures, in a desperate race against time, to find the only one who might save her. But things aren't quite what they look like, and the price to pay will be high...

We are actually looking for foreign publishers. I've translated a couple of chapters of the book in English and we're almost ready to send out the dossier. Any publisher you would like tu suggest that might be interested? Not an expert in foreign publishers here.

That sounds like a fantastic story! Magic, mice, a brothers' love for his ill sister, everyone all in one nice synopsis. The image definitely shows a determined, hotblooded, young mouse, but there is a sense of fear and confusion; almost as if he knows he's getting a little in over his head. Great work!

Scresah should have felt honored; instead, a sudden fear of failing took hold of him. He never felt less magical than now. He was just a mouse; a small, silly mouse with a dying little sister, who was going to risk his tail on a frozen mountain to chase after a legend. For an instant he saw himself as everyone else saw him and understood why no one would trust him: he was always getting ahead of himself rather than face reality, a simple, crude reality such as the one that stood before him. Yet, Adre was telling him that he was special to her, and for some reason that was all he needed. Maybe it took the faith of a child to make him an adult."

....Now you just make me wanna read more! This is a really strong scene that tells me exactly what I need to know about him. He does have sucha sweet little sister, and I can also see why he is determined to save her. Awesome!
