Learn the differences! 8DJust something fun I doodled early on in the development of derp-smeets, and thought I'd share.
Derp-smeets-
•born by falling from the sky when two Irkens hug
•no pak
•very small and rounded
•have very little mental capacity, can barely speak
•too weak to do much more than wallow around
•always walleyed
Real smeets-
•Grown inside tubes in huge "smeeteries"
•fitted with a pak upon activation
•Normal squared Irken features - just smaller! Though not as small as a derp
•Downloaded with all of Irken knowledge after activation
•born ready for training, to serve the grand Irken Empire!

I dislike canon smeets a lot, so I prefer derp-smeets. :3

Well the way I see it, what fun is a baby character if its just like a miniature adult? If I wanted that, I'd just make a tiny adult character.

Ah, to each their own. I was never a fan of baby characters, personally. I always thought of canon smeets as being more clumsy, ignorant (experience-wise), etc. than adult Irkens, but not so baby-ish that they'd just be useless to a militaristic society like the Irken Empire.
