Description The heroine from Dragon Quest IV. Sorry this took so long to get out...let's just say the holiday season hasn't exactly been a great source of free time for me (or anyone else, for that matter, amirite?). If you've read my journal, you probably already know that I had pretty much finished this pic a week or so before Christmas, but my laptop went *pthbbbbt!* so I had to start it all over again.

Anyway, I went out on a limb and tried to perfect my method of giving the actual lineart the same color as the things they border, and I think it turned out a little better than my past attempts. However, this led to some pretty shitty attempts at shading, so I decided to just leave it as is. If it ain't broke, don't fix it...even if it's not entirely complete in the first place.

I think she looks beautiful! I love her hair especially. I think the way you drew in your own style instead of slavishly following all the little Toriyama-isms is wonderful.

Yeah, I never really went for "that Dragon Ball style," as I used to call it. But you know, if the Dragon Warrior series has had one thing over Final Fantasy, it's that they can at least be consistent in how they want their characters to look...the concept art usually reflects their in-game appearance, unlike FF.

Very nice. I like how you made her hair look not so big. Very pretty.

That means nothing to me, though. If I have a choice in a game, I generally play a female.

Same with me, I normally play males when given the choice. I guess we just tend to choose who we'd associate with the best...though I have a friend who always, always, ALWAYS chooses female characters whenever he can. I kind of get the feeling he wishes he was born a woman. Either that, or he's a big pervert.

Well, my thing is I am a woman and since the main character is usually a guy, I choose a female whenever I can.
