Based off of the song, Savant On Mushrooms , a collaboration between two of my favorite artists, Savant and Infected Mushrooms

Recently, while listening to one of Savant's many delightful albums on YouTube, I left autoplay on and it just went forth after the album was finished and spilled over into another band's album. That band was Infected Mushrooms. Too lazy to bother to switch it, I took a listen to it....and found yet another epic set of artists to listen to
This song comes from their album Friends on Mushrooms which includes many other collaborations and epic tracks I will probably be using for other pieces

But imagine my gleeful squee when I hear Savanat's voice suddenly come up

And this song...the lyrics....AGH I just died. They are absolutely beautiful. And so vey fitting for TimeRunner (considering the man takes long walks in the rain by himself on occasion).
The beautiful irony in the lyrics....I could just see him humming this to himself as he drifted through the waters with a lost look upon his face....

Of course, the challenge here was to attempt a convincing enough image of Runner standing in the rain, as I have attempted such before and failed miserably.
BUT I am a different person now....one who knows the tricks that lay within GIMP -le gasp-

SO after some fiddling around, multiple layers and a nice enough ref to get an understanding of what I was attempting to go for, VOILA!

I must say, the one wonderful thing I learnt from this piece was color
Originally the sky was a deep midnight blue, but the color conflicted with Runner's bright fiery hair. So I had a choice to make: Make everything blue, or make everything red.
And after attempting both, it became clear which option I needed to go with.
The blue brought the mood down, and made the image more depressed, whereas the lyrics speak of being uplifted and whole again. But the red made it feel empowered, and alive.

It was interesting to see how meaning in a piece could change in a matter of seconds

But yeah...this has become one of my new favorites
