Description U.N.I.T.E. DATA LOG 8484: "Ilmura."

Those who work at UNITE are no strangers to the bizarre. The agency, along with the men and women that work there, have been dealing with such scenarios and creatures since its foundation for a long time. It is why those who join must be ready for anything, and with the armaments, vehicles and good people that the agency has, UNITE has only been expanding its reach and its knowledge to better deal with such incidents that plague our planet. UNITE's ultimate goal of eliminating all extradimensional threats to mankind has it scouring the world for any signs of such beings, making sure that the planet remains safe and sound for us humans.

Very rarely, though, does the agency have something come to us at this scale. The first signs that we were in for a spectacle came to us from the nonstop calls originating from the wilds of Alaska. Some of the local hunters there had been spotting some big wandering 'thing' in the woods around Juneau, and with what they were saying, it didn't match any living animal that existed on Earth. Still, we took precautions in case it was just their imaginations playing tricks on them. UNITE sent a field agent up to their Alaskan watch in Juneau to check it out first-hand and make sure that it wasn't some sort of prank or hallucination.
Her first response back to us two days later only solidified our suspicions.
"You're not gonna believe what I've found up here."

The UNITE operation launched almost right after the agent made her discovery was called Operation: Hunting Grounds, and it was spearheaded by the ever-curious Dr. Joshua Faithlight, who sheepishly admitted to have never been to Alaska before. The reports of some monstrous cryptid in the Last Frontier had caught his attention. Tagging along with the good doctor was his friend and UNITE Enforcer Nicolia Kansa, mainly for safety precautions just in case things got hairy, as she insisted. It was completely understandable for such measures regarding the otherworldly. For days UNITE searched all corners of the Alaskan wilderness, looking for signs for anything that the agent had found, but the agency found nothing of interest for long, grueling days hiking, driving and looking across the unforgiving wilds for any sign of this monster.

Finally, after Day 6 of the operation, we had finally found what we were looking for. One of our drones managed to pick up an unknown energy source moving south towards Canada near the Seward Mountains, a sure sign that this was what we were looking for. A convoy of armored vehicles and mobile op bases moved out to intercept the signal before it could disappear again into the wilds, and sure enough in the middle of an Alaskan summer night, the dark sky full of stars with the bright moon hanging overhead, did the agency finally encounter the creature itself.

Bizarre couldn't even begin to describe what the agents had discovered. Everything was live-streamed back the research teams and higher-ups awaiting further instructions. The creature must have been well over twenty-five feet tall and built like a walking alien tank. A pair of massive gray mandibles on either side of its head, a horned, bone-white crest on its face, glowing blue teeth, a ten-foot long neck that connected the head to its broad-shouldered body, and two metal wings colored jet-black that pointed upwards. More importantly however, this creature didn't seem the least bit bothered or even threatened that its midnight stroll had been stopped by an entire armed platoon of UNITE field agents, soldiers and enforcers, those pale white eyes shining with a surprising amount of intelligence in them.

Once the creature was "detained" within a controlled perimeter did we get quite the surprise. The creature could talk. Not even the most powerful of Shadow Beasts had done such a thing before, excluding TNH-003. Immediately following this discovery, Dr. Faithlight and Ms. Kansa were granted usage for one of the base team's scissor lifts to try and communicate with the creature on an "even field" and establish a connection.

The interview between human and creature went on for many hours into the night, where we managed to learn it's name: Ilmura, Last of the Dreadnoughts, cybernetic life forms built to wage total war across entire solar systems, despite how insane that sounded. Ilmura stated that he was the last one, as the others had died out long ago along with his creators. That certainly gave us relief. He revealed that he was on Earth mainly for exploration, as without any sort of master to command him, he had become a cosmic adventurer. His reason for choosing Alaska? He wanted to find somewhere to rest, as humorous as that was.

As Dr. Faithlight continued his interview, the research teams managed to scan Ilmura's internal mechanisms. What we found was... startling, to say the least. Not only was he composed of tungsten-based polymorphic alloys and elements that didn't even exist on the periodic table, the energy output inside his body was utterly massive, dwarfing some of the most powerful Shadow Beasts we've encountered yet. It must have been that way for him to travel across the known universe as he'd said. Ilmura did state that he was built for war, but simply chose not to destroy since he had no desire to fight us, as concerning as that was. Dr. Molly Lancaster, who was supervising the research teams on UNITE's latest find, was practically chomping at the bits to get an inside look at Ilmura for herself and was quite insistent that we bring Ilmura to one of our nearby laboratories for further study.

Once the interview was over, UNITE decided to let Ilmura go. Knowing that at the moment he posed a minimal threat to humanity, we bid our goodbyes to Ilmura as he resumed his trek through the wilds of North America. Operation: Hunting Grounds was considered a great success on the research of extraterrestrial organisms for UNITE. Reports on Ilmura are ongoing, and last we heard the strange cyborg alien had made his way to Greenland, where he currently resides in secrecy.

Here is some gift fanart for RaishaGS and their impressive Neu House AU UNITE. I personally wanted to draw Ilmura interacting with people (I didn't realize how BIG he was until I made this!), so I thought might as well put him talking with some special agents. The Neu House was the first AU for the Loud House that I picked up on Deviantart after I started watching the show on Nickelodeon, so I felt compelled to honor it.

I hope you enjoy!
