I figured that model was Rowdy Yates, I have that one but I also have another model on the same mold, I think that one is Shy Boy.

I allways think that the Buckshot mould looks like he's doing this:

I have Rowdy Yates (great now I'm thinking of Clint Eastwood's character from Rawhide)

My Buckshot mold, My Favorite Horse-Rascal, won't stand up. >.< How did you get yours to?

Mine is really tippy. I have found though, that warming Breyer horses' legs with the heat of a hair dryer and gently adjusting them so that they stand better has really helped with some of my other tippy models.

Wow, thanks, I'll have to try it. I have a heat gun, would that work because I've heard that they strip paint?

Heat guns can be used for this purpose but it can be risky and one has to be very careful. Hair dryers take longer and more patience but they are a much safer method.

I must say this is striking photography work! Even up close I am hard pressed to believe this is a live action shot! I guess that's just the nature of Breyers. I had a couple when I was younger and wish I had kept them...

Aw, thanks! My friend and I make a great Breyer photography team. And yeah, I love the ultra high detail and attention to realism Breyer models have. They inspire me.

Absolutely! I'm a nut for photography, mostly nature, but they way you guys have the models lined up with the scenery really makes you do a double take. I should get me hands on a few myself, as I would imaging they make great art references for muscle tone and anatomy.

Thank you! My friend ~BlueWingsWolf came up with the concept and I picked the models for it! Rowdy Yates was perfect for this photoshoot.

Thanks! I keep going back to it and nit-picking though. Like with the angles and such. I think next time we're able to do a photoshoot together, we should revisit this scene. There just seems to be something missing that I can't quite put my finger on. Maybe if it's done over, that can be fixed. Whatever it is.

Well I do like the angles you have done with this one but I'm thinking the top photo you could have put some horses in background with a couple of cowboys either sending them through a gate or trying to seprate the foals (which I've seen done before on tv) even trying to catch a mustang like Tyler is doing...just something to play with

You're right, that would have really helped the scene. Wanna try that next time you come out to visit?
