Wishbone floppy plush made with particularly soft and luxurious fur and wearing a velvety, brown collar printed with his name and complete with a metal buckle.The back of his hang tag reads: "This soft, cuddly toy is ready for adventure. Huggable and loveable, Wishbone is a kid's best friend!"
If my memory is correct, these plushes were available at a bookstore (Borders or Barnes & Noble, can't recall which one specifically) back in 1998, as well as from the Wishbone Zone newsletter catalog .

Don't new if this a new find for you, but I know you're a big fan of that show, so congrats if so. Very nice looking plush in excellent condition - and I guess it isn't, but it seems remarkable to me that the eartag is still there after 18 years. I'm afraid I'm not a 'mint in box' sort of person, and that would be the first thing that would come off, but that's me.

Thank you so much! I have a particularly soft spot for this specific Wishbone plush, so this one is actually the fourth in my collection. None of my other 15" floppy Wishbone plushes still have their hang tags, which makes this one especially valuable to me.
I am generally quite conflicted about keeping things "mint in box," though, for the most part, my Wishbone collection is kept as new and pristine as possible.
My Douglas collection is almost entirely NWT except for the ones I acquired second-hand that came without. That's not to say that my Douglas animals have never seen play or cuddle time though, it's just done lightly and with regards to keeping their tags in good shape. Back when I was young and my sister and I would take them out on vacations and other places, we fashioned little tag protectors for them out of clear plastic with a small piece of cardboard placed within to act as a stabilizer. It worked very well! My life sized Douglas dogs got to get out and enjoy the world and social time all while keeping their hang tags intact.

That's a lovely story, conjuring great images.
I get conflicted about the love=wear thing, too. I rationalise it this way.... err, come to think of it, pretty much everything I was going to write sounds like the theme of Toy Story 2.
Anyway _I_ don't look the same as I did in 2000, either!
