Description
She opened her eyes and looked around
Breathing in and embracing what's found
Black and white not acceptable in this tale
Lack of open mind? In finding the meaning you will fail.
If you understand, let me continue
She awoke awkwardly, but renewed.
She could not decipher what was felt
So into other thoughts she started to melt
It was so much easier for her to find her way
Through the paths of her mind, her destination could sway
Each fork was endless possibilities
All which lacked her past tendencies.
A depressed soul she used to be
"It" could never look up, only darker it would see
Here in this new thought pattern was right
In her mind, anyways, it was pure light.
Others do not agree
It's the past that they see.
Fortunately "it" knew very few
So when she awoke she could enter society anew.
What are the details I am leaving behind?
Be careful of your curiosity, you may not like what you find
Different than even the most drastic transformations
There is a reason she keeps from herself some information.
Male to female, a transformation partially accepted
But this theme is not known by the most eclectic
Yes, the "it" in her past life definitely was male
But that is not the main focus of this tale
Twenty two years of his depressing life went by
And what may happen? His only light pre-maturely dies
A woman I shall keep vague other than her being
All that matters is they both had a mutual feeling
Love, the only way to describe it we know
But into their hearts something deeper it did sew
And when such a bond like that breaks?
Who may know what the black hole that is created takes?
What it happened to take was the his frail mind
Tattered already by depression and time
Aimlessly he wondered for days in daze
No, not in the world, his mind created a maze.
Finally in his mind an answer did show.
It wasn't clear to him, but he would just let go
So in his subconscious without his approval
His mind did it's own memory removal.
The first day he awoke he knew something was wrong
He couldn't continue the same old sad song
He wandered to the store and to his own surprise
He found himself in the women's section not caring of compromise.
The very next day he read and read
Memories of his love and thoughts from her head
He knew he couldn't bring her from the grave
But with her the depression he could stave
A basis in which he could build on
Not to steal her identity, but so a new one could dawn
He took her memories and his being, bodily
And started to make someone new entirely
The next weeks missing he went
Hiding himself away to a drastic extent
Neighbors only saw an occasional figure at night
Before they could get it would take it's flight
And that's where the beginning does has it's intro
It wasn't him that awoke, it was her mind in tow
Though Mentally Unstable you cannot say.
As he cannot exist since that day.
Nor split personality cannot be said
More put it was like the old part was quickly shed
Only masculine features and family as evidence
Though fixed through science and change of residence
Memory of the past so faint the forms are skewed
Comparing the old self to the new would be shrewd
If memories are what make us, then she is justified
For memories of her past her mind defied.
She awoke that morning never knowing her previous bindings
Body already female, she was secure in her "findings."
Never knowing her past that's been decayed
She minds it not, as something always tells her to stay away.
