I hate both people who claim this is art and those who make fun of artists for claiming it to be art.

I don't know which side I'm on. Fuck, I saw a dead dog sculpture at Columbia that looked just like a dead dog on the street. Which one was art? Was one art because it was on a pedestal, or was the other art because it was real and not contrived? Were they both art? Were neither of them art? Does it even fucking matter?

Both of them made me feel slightly ill, and thus they both had an impact on me. So does it really make a difference?

I really don't know.
