This is a family portrait Gardenia has on her nightstand in her room. It's the only picture of her parents she was able to bring wtih her from home, and is her most prized possession.

This was back when her parents were still alive and her adopted sister was a Kirlia. In this, her parents are in their 30's and Guinevere was 16, Gardenia is only a few weeks old. Her father, William Lorbence, was a Whimsicott and a famous flute player, and her mother, Rosemarie Lorbence, was a gifted Gardener, known throughout Unova for the beautiful gardenias she grew.

There isn't a day that goes by that Gardenia misses them, and questions why it was that she lived and they didn't. She feels horribly guilty about surviving then they didn't, and it's her greatest regret.
