Poor Ringo. He was in and out of the hospital for most of his childhood. Then in 1965, he went back to the hospital for a case of tonsilitis. He had to miss a few shows in the Beatles' tour as a result, and the other lads turned to drummer Jimmy Nichols to temporarily take Ringo's place.Beatles - themselves

Yeah, I kept thinking of that one pic of him in bed with the little dining table on his lap. That's what inspired me to draw this one. Plus, I've had suck-ish health in more recent years, so I sympathize with him.

I've been getting much better, slowly but progressively. I had to avoid anything icy or cold all last summer and eat/drink anything hot or room temperature as part of the treatment I received... it didn't help that it was one of the hottest summers in history. -_-; That, and I had to drink some of the nastiest-tasting herbal teas; it helped me, and although herbal tea sounds nice... trust me, you wouldn't want the 7 kinds I had to drink. XP
At least now I just have to take herbal pill supplements. And I can eat/drink cold stuff again.

Ringo's life story (Dad walked out, raised by mother and grandmother, in and out of hospitals for most of his life, never finished school) Just makes me want to hug him and tell him everything will be ok, even if he is in his 70s now.

My best friend and I were flipping through a Beatle-book that my parents got me for my b-day, and it had a picture of him. And we both went "WHO THE HECK?? HE LOOKS LIKE FRANKENSTEIN!!!"

Oh, we don't even NEED the sugar, man. We do that without even trying. 3:00 is our favourite time. It's when you've lost just enough brain so that everything is funny. All our best inside-jokes come from 3:00 conversations.
