Description so there's still some drawing and stuff in there, but this is my first stab at an almost entirely photo-manip piece. there's probably about 8 or 9 buildings stuffed together in there. it's a little cleaner than i'm used to working, and i do miss a lot of the grit and grime, but I must say, this shit is fun.

Apparently I'm retarded. I haven't visited DA in a good while, I guess things on the side panel look a bit differently now.

this is nothing short of stunning and it's as inspiring as it is intimidating... it's not often that I wish I had a teacher, but this is surely one of those times when I wish I was in the room there with you when you made this one. That would have been one hell of a lesson!

jeez, thank you! i'm really glad you like it so much. i've thought about making a tutorial now and then. maybe next time i start a project i'll try and save stages if you'd like

No problem, and I still am in awe of the look of this shot. It's partially the lighting, partlially the tones, partially the angle... it's just really amazing looking. I saw someone do an image a little bit like this once, and they posted the .psd file (having done it in Photoshop, of course) for a bit, and seeing the layers and choices were even better than I thought... their turtorial was great in explaining it.

But anyway, I asked, not to steal your style or thunder, but just to try and learn from such a great looking piece. I'm glad to see you didn't mind my doing so.

Absolutely amazing, again, G-dog. I have to lodge a formal compaint for two things, the first being that you are an eccentric bastard who likes to show off with your fancy shmancy artwork, and the second being that the building on the top far left it out of perspective from the one to the right of it.

I also feel motivated to go throw my old sneaks over a telephone wire. LEt it be knwon that some poor child livin on the streets will go shoeless because of you.
