I faved this, because I love the light in your pictures - it's muted, darkened, and so realistic at the same time. It seems so... urban to me. The silhouettes of people that appear on some pictures collide with the realistic feel of the lightning and scenery and I love it.
This one has a rather noir feel to it. You're definitely worth a watch. The gallery is spectacular.

Yea it may be simple but it's usually the simplest things that say the most.
I think you did a great job!

I like this, quite a bit. I love the lighting in the window and the way he seems almost transparent next to it. I also love the slightly blurred lines that make this image seem so soft.

Just goes to show that simple can be good sometimes, especially if you manage to do it right - like you have.

I agree that the face line is a little strong, but I didn't notice until it was pointed out. That window is fucking gorgeous however, and it's driving me insane.
Also, I'm in this month's Bass Player and that makes me happy.

oooo i loved this one. probably my favorite out of all nine. I really wanted to raise my hand in class and say that and... I didnt think the print job did some of the pieces the justice it deserved but, I kinda dont like raising my hand. Cause im a pansy ass.
Was this extremely early morning light? I have a picture I took freshman year during sunrise that looked EXACTLY like this, through those mammoth industrial windows. Well, regardless you captured the light perfectly.
I think Paul mentioned doing another nine?
makes me want to stab my neck.

awwwwww, christina, you flatter me. don't worry, i think we were all a little intimidated by king paul. his crits are kind of intense, seems to me.
anyway, it was actually around 10 pm. there was a big industrial type light outside that lit the window REALLY bright while almost everything inside was pitch black. but i totally know the kind of light you're talking about. i used to see it in spruce all the time. anyway, thank you very much,
and i think he was kidding about the next 9. or i'm praying he was anyway
