Report on Subject's Observational Personality
Korbl is an overly touchy, overly familiar ass.
He seems to display little thought in regards to others, always acting on his own whims and desires. One could say that he is rather self absorbed. He becomes like a thorn in someone’s side, sticking to them for any reason (such as food, entertainment, one-sided companionship), and leaving for any reason as well (most often boredom). He’s rather unpredictable (capricious in his actions in nicer terms).
However, despite his forwardness and obtrusive nature, he seldom does anything destructive on his own. He teases yes, seems to not realize that people have boundaries, but he’s rarely purposefully mean to others (‘It’s nothing personal’ is what he says when he’s sent out to fight). When he’s fighting, he displays a degree of bloodlust that can be high, but still that isn’t too uncommon among his breed and class. For example, he is never known to drag out an unfair fight, however he may slow down the conclusion of an evenly matched dual to prolong the fighting. He's not a cruel person.
He doesn’t appear to have any awareness of his potential impact on other people (specifically, negative impact). There’s a sense that he doesn’t take much seriously - always displaying a cheerful nature, even in situations of aggression. When he is (rarely) upset, he becomes solemn and guarded.
Nonetheless, he takes orders well, and does as he’s told, no matter what it is. There have been a few instances of him bending the order so that he could do something he wanted to, but it hasn’t been anything that actually broke his orders (yet).
He claims that he’s a romantic at heart, and also that he loves people. It doesn’t appear that he’s formed strong emotional attachments to any single person (other than his mother), however. He’s quite physical with people, fond of contact, acts of ‘affection’ such as mussing one’s hair. He’s not particularly gentle, however.
▨ H O U S E ♢ B L U T E N S T A H L ▍
›› Primarily of Doberman descent. Appropriately named Blood Steel, this old house traces its origins to a clan of warriors from well before the War started. However, their glory has long faded at the seams, as the War and modernization have eroded their proud traditions and forced them towards assimilation.
While this house's Dualists and Knights were once prized personal guards, fought over to be partnered with (and the partnership between a guard and their guarded was one for life), most now find themselves soldiers and patrolmen. Still, House Blutenstahl remains steadfast and proud, determined to see their Blood honoured (nevermind the increasing pressure from House Buchanen to join them).
Their Alpha is Ermana. Their Senate Rep is Albrun.
Details on House Blutenstahl
The easiest thing Korbl’s ever done was convince himself that life was fun. Frankly, it was the only choice he could make, he had realized, two years after. He was fifteen, expected to take his first kill (a poor chicken, it was). He was ready, and so he did. The blood stained his hands, under his nails where he couldn’t wash. It stayed for days, and he always kept his fingers hidden.
(His mother tutted, held him close as Korbl traced the battle scars like rivers on her arms. ‘You’re my son,’ she’d whisper, something far away in her voice, yet steeled, ‘They expect great things of you, just like they did for I’)
His upbringing was quite ordinary for a Blutenstahl. He continued his training, recited his pledges of loyalty to the state, and honour to his House. Along the way he learned to seek the stench of blood, to be fearless, to gain upper hands and not flinch at pain, and most importantly of all, to laugh and smile.
(‘I must,’ he reasoned alone one night, ‘I must do things because I enjoy them, or what a sad existence I’ll lead for the rest of my life’. He did not hiss at the rubbing alcohol, did not blink as he sutured his new cuts. The next day he wore a grin on his face, light in his eyes. ‘What fun today’s training will be,’ he greeted his House. ‘What fun’.)
Now that he’s an adult, he’s fully established himself as a foolhardy eyesore. An embarrassment in character, but his skills in battle are irrefutable, to the chagrin of his House. He’s also an odd Blutenstahl, refusing to take on a ward as per tradition, and refusing to accept his possible role as the next Alpha. The House is at wit’s end.
(‘It’d be boring’, he laughed with a shrug. Albrun quivered, words held in his mouth tactfully behind his grit teeth, but his mother remained still.
‘Do what you wish, son,’ she said with a wave. Albrun frowned, disapproval carved in the wrinkles of his brows, but what Ermana says is what the House will accept.
‘You’re too soft on him,’ Albrun bit, fingers drumming the hilt of his sword, standing in the shadows of the stone pillars.
‘Perhaps I am,’ she agreed with a sigh, looking out to gray-cast skies.
‘You’ll regret it someday,’ Albrun said.
‘Perhaps I will,’ she replied.)
But Korbl, Korbl’s made it a point to live with no regrets. It’s worked out so far.

Likes butterflies
The scar on his face was from a fight with another dog
Is rather neutral about cats (calls every single one of them “Kitten”), in that he doesn’t seem to have personal prejudice or burning hatred against them. He has no qualms about having to kill them though, he’s not a sympathizer by any length...
Didn’t retain a whole lot of his literacy. Skills valued in traditional education aren’t exactly valued by his house.
Is thinking of getting sleeve tattoos, but remains undecided on what they should be. Will probably never get any tattoo at this rate.
100% a Momma's boy. He doesn't know who his father his, but that's not unusual within his House structure, so he's never thought much of it. Ermana doesn't talk of him either, but during the rare times that she does, her face is so gentle, it makes Korbl's chest ache.
Despite his claiming to love everyone and everything, outsiders may note how little attachment he seems to have to any one thing. A stationary drifter, if you will.
This attitude may cause him to seem rather flippant about the war cause, surely something that’s caused much friction between him and many others (especially Albrun). There’s no question of his dedication in action though. He’s ready to fight, always. It’s what he was raised for, after all.
