So all you did here was took the model of Oshawott and then you subsurfed it. I tried to do it on Purrloin, but it's really all blocky to me.
Oh and about the model, what happens next?

Before subsurfing the model, I subdivided the model twice and applied 0.3 of smoothness. Then I subsurfed the model to make it look better.
I'll try with Purrloin and if it works, I'll give you the .blend file. I still have the original Purrloin model from X/Y but I dunno if it works fine. x.x

I can do it today. I tested the Purrloin model from X/Y and it only has a problem with its left arm. It's fully functional but with some problems.
I'm still not sure about the Purrloin model from PokéPark 2. Lemme test it.

Well, there are the .blend files for both Pokémon X/Y and PokéPark 2 models of Purrloin:

I really liked the Pokémon X/Y model but it has some problems with the arms so I dunno how to fix it.
And I tried to subsurf the PokéPark 2 model and it doesn't look pretty bad, but well, I tried my best.

I did test out the models that you sent me, and it worked pretty fine.
The PokePark 2 model was actually the one (you have rendered) from your gallery. And the X & Y model (which I've seen when I got back from school) has a bone that is named "jaw", while the PokePark 2 model doesn't have one.
The subsurfed PP2 Purrloin is looking less blocky thanks to having more vertices (just like the X & Y model). I might use it in my future renders.

The X/Y model works even better than the PokéPark 2 and looks better imo. The jaw looks even more realistic.
I would like to see your renders with those models, especially the X/Y one.

Test them out! Also I completely fixed the X/Y Purrloin model and it works great (at least for me).

The problem is that is the Purrloin render I recently did, so I guess you should T-pose her. x.x

Oh, I see. Sometimes I scale some textures to make them high-res textures (like my Chespin and Pachirisu renders).
You can use the Pokémon X/Y model if you want, but as I said, it has problems with its arms, so I dunno if you can fix that. x.x
