Description
The Capital of the 9th Empire
"Lila was a fox furry who lived in the capital of the 9th Empire, a sprawling metropolis that covered most of Earth. The 9th Empire was ruled by a powerful demon lord who had conquered the other eight empires centuries ago. The demon lord was cruel and ruthless, but he also offered protection and prosperity to his subjects, as long as they obeyed his laws and paid their taxes.
Lila worked as a courier, delivering packages and messages across the city. She enjoyed her job, as it gave her a chance to see different places and meet different people. She also liked the thrill of dodging the traffic and the patrols, using her agility and cunning to avoid trouble.
One day, she received a mysterious package from a hooded figure who paid her well and told her to deliver it to a certain address in the outskirts of the city. Lila was curious about the package, but she knew better than to open it. She strapped it to her bike and headed towards her destination.
As she rode through the streets, she noticed that the package was making a faint humming noise. She also felt a strange sensation in her chest, as if something was tugging at her heart. She shook her head and tried to ignore it.
She reached the address and knocked on the door. A young man opened it and looked at her with surprise.
“Who are you?” he asked.
“I’m Lila. I have a delivery for you.” she said, handing him the package.
He took it and scanned it with his device.
“Where did you get this?” he asked, his eyes widening.
“Some guy gave it to me. Why? What is it?” she asked.
He looked at her with a mix of fear and awe.
“It’s a Fury.” he said.
“A what?” she asked.
“A Fury. A winged creature of Chaos. They’re very rare and very dangerous. They can sense emotions and feed on them. They can also bond with a person and grant them incredible powers.” he explained.
He opened the package and revealed a small cage with a black creature inside. It looked like a cross between a bat and a cat, with red eyes and sharp teeth. It was sleeping peacefully, unaware of its surroundings.
Lila gasped.
“It’s so cute!” she exclaimed.
He smiled.
“It is, isn’t it? But don’t let its appearance fool you. It’s very powerful and very unpredictable. It can be your best friend or your worst enemy.” he said.
He looked at her with curiosity.
“By the way, how did you manage to bring it here without waking it up? Furies are very sensitive to emotions. They usually react to any strong feeling around them.” he asked.
Lila shrugged.
“I don’t know. I just felt this weird connection with it. Like it was calling me.” she said.
He nodded.
“That makes sense. Furies can choose their partners based on their compatibility. Maybe this one likes you.” he said.
He reached out his hand towards the cage.
“Let me see if I can wake it up.” he said.
As soon as he touched the cage, the Fury opened its eyes and let out a loud screech. It flapped its wings and tried to break free from its confinement. It glared at him with hatred and fury.
He recoiled in pain and dropped the cage.
“Ow! It bit me!” he cried.
Lila rushed to his side and checked his wound.
“Are you okay?” she asked.
He nodded.
“Yeah, I’m fine. It’s just a scratch.” he said.
He looked at the Fury with disappointment.
“I guess it doesn’t like me.” he said.
He looked at Lila with envy.
“Maybe you should try. Maybe it will like you better.” he suggested.
Lila hesitated.
“Are you sure? It looks angry.” she said.
He nodded.
“Yeah, go ahead. Maybe you can calm it down.” he said.
Lila approached the cage slowly and cautiously. She spoke softly to the Fury, trying to soothe it with her words.
“Hey there, little guy. Don’t be scared. I’m not here to hurt you. I’m here to help you.” she said.
The Fury stopped screeching and looked at her with curiosity. It tilted its head"
