I'm just getting into the world of Magic the Gathering, and one of my friends tried to teach me how to play. Currently, it appears that you pick up cards and lay them down based on color, and that the rest of the rules are so ridiculously complicated that no one could ever figure out an optimal deck. I remember one of my friends trying to teach me how to play Magic once. It went pretty well. Then, after my friend left, I said "Eff this. If I want to play a card game, I'll play Yu-Gi-Oh!" Not PokΓ©mon cards; the games are way better. None of that Energy nonsense.
