Talasimu - the heir to the Shadowlands.

The firstborn daughter of Taka and Sarafina, the oldest sister of Nala and Mheetu.

She was very close to both her parents, and one of few who received genuine affection and care from Taka. Throughout her life, she developed great skills in stealth (from Sarafina) and intelligence (from Taka). She was one of the kindest lionesses in the pride, and could have been one of the most popular, had she chosen. However, she developed a disposition of an observer, but not a recluse. She blended into the background extremely well, but was still quite social.

She cared greatly for her family, and understood that her father was not always her loving father Taka, but had an evil spirit within him as well- know as Scar. However, she knew that Taka could overcome Scar when around his immediate family, namely Sarafina, Talasimu, Nala, and Mheetu. She used that to her advantage, trying to help him with controlling Scar.

All throughout her life she was extremely mature. She knew that Scar despised and loathed Mufasa, and tried her hardest to change that.

The worst moment of her life, during her young adolescence, was when she witnessed Scar throw Mufasa down into the stampede. She kept this secret to herself, but told Taka of her knowledge. This threw Taka into deeper into self-contention, but never took any steps toward silencing his daughter. He knew she'd never speak of it.

During Scar's reign of the Shadowlands, she was named heir and next in line for the throne. She was in change of the hyenas, and did her best to keep them and the lionesses in balance, preferably with the lionesses maintaining superiority.

When Sarafina died, leaving Mheetu as a young, motherless cub, she petitioned Taka to become his main caretaker. (By this time, Nala had lost her connection to Taka, and now only knew him as Scar) However, he was placed in Zira's care. (his story here )

She becomes one of the last to receive affection from Taka. She sees the need for a new ruler. And though she knows she is next in line and that she would do her best, she knows she would forever be continuing "The Dark King's Rule". She and Nala come up with a plan- a plan to overthrow their very own father.

Talasimu sends the hyenas to a border, while Nala goes one way. They plan to find a lion from Nala's childhood- Malka. They know that Scar drove his pride away with the hyenas, and hope that he and his pride will help them. Nala goes in the direction that they believe he went, while Talasimu keeps Scar at ease at her absence, and protecting Mheetu from Zira's growing insanity.

When Nala returns with Simba, Talasimu feels that a bit of her burden keeping Mufasa's death secret is relieved. Talasimu sends the now very insane Zira to go patrol the borders with her followers- knowing Nala and Simba are safely in the interior. Talasimu quickly gathers Mheetu and takes him to a safe place,, a hole in the cliff face- accepting with great sadness that she feels will come. She returns and fights with the lionesses, against some hyenas that were once her friends. When she sees Simba chase Scar up the cliff, she prepares herself for the inevitable.

And it happens. She witnesses Scar fall. Her heart broke. She rushes to fight away the hyenas that swarm him. She is joined by Sarabi- her longtime friend. The hyeans flee, and Taka is left dying. Mheetu sees everything from his hiding place. Talasimu and lays next to Taka, and Sarabi brings Mheetu to join them. Talasimu and Mheetu share the last moments with Taka, with Sarabi sitting vigil.

Taka dies- and Sarabi says her final respects, leaves the two in their sadness. She supports Simba through his ascension to the throne.
