Zuko and Katara had been sparing for a good portion of the day. Katara was visiting on diplomatic reasons, and Zuko had provided her a room while in the Fire Nation.On a day they both had off, he proposed they see who would have really won in the caves of Ba Sing Se. The battle was strenuous and exhausting, but fun and exhilarating at the same time.
After they both shot an attack, steam filled the palace courtyard. When it cleared, they found each other to be closer than expected. And they both walked closer, crossing boundaries never before touched.
Katara put her hand up and touched his scar. He grabbed her hand, then the other, and pulled her into a kiss.
And she kissed him back.
