January 21st 2033, Mutanis Tradontis was observed to alter his exterior state to a previously unimagined degree for the first time in his battle with {{redacted}} in the city of {{redacted}}. To achieve this state, the bio-volcanic synapsid appears to expel heat from his core directly into the ground beneath him at temperatures ranging from 1550 C to {{redacted}}. Once temperatures of 1550 C are reached in metropolitan areas, the concreate in a {{redacted}}m radius surrounding the creature will begin to melt and form a {{redacted}} meter minimum deep pool of lava. As the pool of lava grows in depth beneath, the creature will then submerge most of his body into the pool of lava. Once this stage of the transformation has been reached temperatures in the center of the pool will rapidly cool into a {{redacted}} m thick layer of volcanic rock. At this point the kaiju will reemerge from the pool with the majority of the volcanic rock clinging to his body. After a certain amount of damage is sustained the mass of volcanic rock on his back will begin to exhibit properties similar to that of an active volcano.
This forms a new obstacle for the D.M.E {{Department of Mutanis Extermination}} in their mission statement to eradicate the Mutanis threat from the mainland as this new layer of rock makes previously successful countermeasures like operation: Life Boat impossible to carry out. As Tradontis regains his mobility, he may dip his front limbs into the lava and repeat the process on them, giving them their own coating of volcanic rock. these coatings have been observed to resemble crude tools such as hammer-like blunt objects and sharp blades and are utilized for melee combat. It is unclear what must happen to trigger this transformation but extreme amounts of conflict and sustained damage has been notably linked.
