Description I had a lot of fun with these!

This is the first time I've used Prismacolor and Derwent pencils and I had quite a bit of fun experimenting with them.

The Naruto on the left is the one I used the Prismacolor and Derwent watercolor pencils on, and the one on the right is the one I drew with my usual coloring pencils.

Which do you think is better?

And happy Inktober everyone!Β

Beautiful naruto portrait!

I'm just getting back into colored pencils; my poylchromes, faber castell and prisma.
I had a long chat with a lady for 30mins because it feels that DAMN good running into a real life artist to share thoughts and ideas with esp on the media traditional use and got some good advice as well as given her my own with her daughter there! (I didn't know Japan's tools can cost exceedingly less then here (I heard from a friend living in Japan that anime costs way more though XD )

So hey its wonderful to see what traditional artists are out there and I'm running on a high in trying to get back into my pencils and practice with pastels and such!
You can mix media to enhance art and layering is a big key to it.
Though never tried mixing the media only for digital and traditional mix as I do XD
So far it looks great! Your water color mix media

Thank you so much!

It was actually the first time I used water color pencils(since I haven't really gotten the hang of actual watercolors yet) and it was a lot of fun to draw.
The only problem was that I didn't draw it on watercolor paper, and it being regular copy paper, it didn't take the wet too well.

Do itashmashite, ojou-chan ^.^

OHH, well that's pretty clever!
I was too busy determining if water color paint were more efficient then the pencils, as to delivering color. Its different with pastels, the pastel pencils do not deliver enough vibrant color vs. your bar pastels. I practiced this and realized that there was a difference so its good to keep experimenting and look into tutorials. I'd rather have a real teacher actually here but is still a great substitute, tutorial videos and reference books. (don't buy the videos though they are expensive, esp sculpting and I want to do that as well soon-well get back into it)

GAHH paper be it water color pastels and colored pencils is a pain! They have a lot of brands out there, good ones and bad and you don't always HAVE to use actually water color it has to though of certain material you know, the best 100 percent cotton material,Β  how it absorbs water well for it will bulk up (I forgot the other term) acid free, hand made so on and so forth. I've heard that Arches is one of the best paper and expensive of course but your better off with paper you can pay on before going pro and paying big money and crap for the best paper out there Xd Some come in Big ginourmous sheets.

So again do a lot of experient! I think its fun as hell but I try random mediums to find one that suits me the most!

So gambattey yo! I hope your enjoying it!
