I kinda wish these two actually had some canon interactions, it could be interesting to see how their personalities clash, and whether or not it would have resulted in friendship.

I agree. The closest we have to canon meeting is them appearing in Maka and Soul's apartment together in the anime credits.
I could never decide whether Blair would go with her usual "flirt like crazy" approach with Crona, whether she'd be uncharacteristically gentle (with Crona being so shy), or maybe she'd get motherly and protective.

Well, I guess that's the thing when canon gives you nothing to go by. On your speculations, I can't decide whether, in my opinion, the first or the third would be more plausible. (It would probably depend on whether or not Blair knew about what Medusa's done beforehand, which could definitely make the third option more likely, but that's just one factor)

Well, since Crona's approximately 14-16 (no exact number was given but considering how they aged as the manga went on it's a good estimate to think in that range) and Blair is technically a cat, I definitely prefer the motherly and protective option over the flirtatious one. (even though in an early page of Rejected Binary I did use the flirtatious option as a joke, but my opinion on writing that stuff has changed since then)

True, though it's never stopped her before (given Soul's age for example). Still, I see what you mean. I always had the headcanon that Blair would stay in cat form around Crona, to put them more at ease.

Behavior should be adjusted according to the target and the effects you intend to have on the target. If Blair wants to make Crona nervous, then the "flirt like crazy" approach will work. If she wants Crona to be friendly towards her, then the "motherly and protective" approach probably works best. Being uncharacteristically gentle will automatically fail, because such behavior is uncharacteristic to Blair, as you noted.
