PRINT UPDATE: because of requests
...Farrah Fawcett - Prismacolor Black Pencil on plate finish bristol board - 8" x 10"
scanned from a print - so, it has lost lots of details in this 3rd generation
a tribute ... I drew this at a Comic convention in 1983 with an audience - took around 2 hours ... never thought to post it, but since she has died today, i thought it would be appropriate

a Segue story of sorts: When Charlie's Angels was on TV I was in High School (14, 15 yrs old) and new that I was to be an Artist already. I was drawing portraits in pen and ink back then (hadn't moved to pencil yet) anyways,... to make a long story longer - I did some pieces on the three Angels, was showing them around one day to friends when all of a sudden three CheerLeaders came upon me and were very excited to see my art, very close-up to this nerdy/shy artyst (at that time i was extremely shy)
... It was at that time i learned that hot chicks are attracted to rock-stars and artists. 
... oh yeah, I also know this because i've seen interviews with dozens of the fair haired sex stating just that. IF U ARE NEW TO MY WORKS AND WORDS, and would like to read some true Art Stories I've encountered & overcome - I invite you to read more - I promise this link is more entertaining than the story you just read.

Farrah's image remains for me one of the icons of my generation. That she died such a nasty death was tragic, but it was also sad that she fell victim to the dreaded "Elvis Has Left The Building" syndrome. That's when two (or more) celebrities pass on the same day and one gets all the press while the other is largely ignored. They didn't even include her in the necrology in this year's Oscar show!
