I live in South Florida, The Cruise Capital of the World,... hmmm, I thought to myself (one day back in 2002) What can I draw that would be appealing, funny to a variety of people AND sell as a poster/print (still gotta make a living - ya know)
After putting on my Victor Powell Amazing Idea hat I immediately came up with this idea!! What was the Very First Cruise EVER? Where couples from ALL Over the land gathered together for an amazing Journey,... what would they have done to keep occupied for such a long time?
You might ask, "Who would buy this Art Poster"? (thanks for the great question) People that love animals, people that love Noah's Ark, daycares, daycares with the name Noah or Ark in them (at last count there were over 58 in America alone - I know cuz I've done the research), a daycare that loves cool art, Cruising, people that have children, are decorating their children's bedrooms, people that love unique conversation pieces, etc ...
OK, Now U see what a can of worms you have opened with that question? I must go on,... People that love color, colorful art, art with hidden messages, art full of puns, art that tells a story, tells more than one story, people that love rainbows, partying, swimming, sports and animals such as a chameleon, duck, frog, alligator, crocodile, penguin, turtle, otter, pink flamingo, deer, orca / killer whale, polar bear, brown bear, hippo, cow, puffin, koala, giraffe, kangaroo, chimpanzee, owl, camel, parrot, gorilla, lion, panda, eagle, rabbit, tiger, ostrich, turkey, rhino, elephant, stork, (he delivers all the newborns) walrus, toucan, skunk, pig, ram, zebra, woodpecker, and lovebirds. --- free prize to the first 10 who tell me which one I left out and why?

I have always loved the Noah's Ark story, but I am not an adherent fundamentalist Christian so I do not as such believe it existed, and indeed I think it would be silly to believe that. But this is a great piece of art and I love it.

It's pretty peculiar though that, "The story of Noah's Ark is mentioned in various religious scriptures, the main ones being those of Islam (Quran), Christianity (Bible) and Judaism (Torah)."
Probably the ONLY thing that Most people believe happened.

Victor, you are way too funny! I love all of your artwork! You must have a huge passion for what you do, because it truly shows in your art. All the detailing, variety, humor, I am awestruck and an instant fan! If you don't have a huge passion for what you do...oh my gosh! You can actually do this all by yourself from brain to hand to paper? Gack! I don't believe it! God has been very good to you to give you the talent and gifts you have. I know it takes a lot of commitment, elbow grease, and hard work. I'm sure you have paid your dues. Anyway, I am glad I found you and so look forward to more of your work. :0)
