Mary stared at me with severe impatience, I could tell she was mad at me when she folded her arm across her chest and began tapping her left foot against the wooden floor. I knew that if I didn't get away from Holmes as she ordered me to, I know I wouldn't hear the end of it. But his gazed pinned me to the wall and all I could do was to look away.

"Well, why don't you go to your lovely fiancee? Hmm?" he said with a deep and dangerous voice, "She is, of course, all that you fancy, correct?"

In rasping angry sentences in my ear, I couldn't help but to feel a little flush as his words rang in me.

He then turned his head slightly towards Mary and gave her a cold hard look...

With his arm above my head, I started to feel uneasy...Mary looked very livid at this point.

"Tell me John, how long have we been comrades...few years, hell a decade maybe? And well you known her, for what, ...a few months?"

He said this while staring at Mary, who looked rather angry and bewildered.

"I must say, she doesn't seem to understand our 'close' relationship...Why don't you elaborate, John? Tell her how close we are...and be honest, I just hate it when you attempt to lie..." Holmes said with a frown.

I suddenly felt sick, I could tell where he was going with this...

Damn him, HOW DARE HE? My supposed best man, HOW DARE HE MAKE ME CHOOSE?!!

What am I thinking? I made him this way...geez...besides, I made him want me more than anything in this world and I let it happen...

I made him heartless...
